Description: Control valves are valves used to control pressure and flow by fully or partially opening or closing in response to signals received from controllers that compare a "setpoint" to a "process variable" whose value is provided by sensors that monitor changes in such conditions. The focus of the data set is on assets that are owned or operated by Loudoun Water. However, the data set also includes features that are connected to Loudoun Water's network, but are owned and/or operated by another entity. The geographic area covered by this dataset is eastern Loudoun County (referred to as the 'Central System') and various isolated 'Community Systems' elsewhere in the County. Data are updated on a daily basis by multiple editors; edits are tracked using the MetaID attribute which relates to the MetaID table that provides feature-level metadata.
